奈良市では、ゴミ焼却施設の老朽化に伴う移転問題が未だに解決されていません。

生活する上でゴミはどうしても発生するものですが、適切に分別しリサイクルへ回す量を増やすことで、全体の量を削減することが可能です。

そこで、YAMATO BASEでは、ゴミの分別にご協力いただいています。

また、細かいことですが、お水などの提供とともに、陶器やガラスのコップの利用を推奨しております。

加えて、雑がみも分別することで、できるだけ燃やすゴミの排出量を削減しています。

トイレにはペーパータオルを置いていませんので、ハンカチをご持参ください。

Nara City has yet to resolve the issue of relocating its aging waste incineration facility.

While waste is inevitable in daily life, it is possible to reduce the overall amount by properly sorting it and increasing the amount recycled.

At YAMATO BASE, we therefore ask for your cooperation in sorting your waste.

Also, although it may seem like a small thing, we provide water and encourage the use of ceramic or glass cups.

In addition, by sorting miscellaneous paper, we are reducing the amount of combustible waste as much as possible.

Paper towels are not provided in the restrooms, so please bring your own handkerchief.

We understand that there are many different opinions about global warming.

One theory is that there is no such thing as global warming, and that, looking at the long history of the universe, we are currently living in a time when solar flare activity is having a strong impact.

However, we are currently experiencing abnormally hot summers and increasingly severe disasters.

It is undoubtedly time to reexamine our lifestyles.

Global warming occurs when an increase in carbon dioxide causes the atmosphere surrounding the Earth to heat up, and as sunlight raises the Earth’s surface temperature, the carbon dioxide absorbs heat, creating a greenhouse-like environment.

This mechanism may not be very clear to you, but here’s an example you can use in your daily life:

For example, when you turn on your air conditioner in the summer, it cools the area where it’s turned on, but naturally the temperature rises where the warm air is expelled. What happens in a densely populated residential area? The temperature in that area rises.

Using your air conditioner in moderation is important for preventing heatstroke and staying healthy.

However, there is no point in turning on the air conditioner when it is not needed, and it may even end up spraying hot air all around.

At YAMATO BASE, we have a policy that not only air conditioners but also lighting are only turned on when and where it is needed by the people who need it.

We do not provide electric kettles, which consume electricity to keep water warm, so please use hot water in a thermal pot.

地球温暖化については、さまざまな議論があるのは承知しています。

本当は地球温暖化などはなく、長い宇宙の歴史から見て、今がたまたま太陽フレアの活動の影響が強く出ている時期という説もあります。

しかしながら、現に、夏の異常な暑さや激甚化する災害などが多発している状況があります。

私たちの生活を見直す時であることは間違いありません。

温暖化の仕組みは、二酸化炭素が増えて地球を取り囲む層が熱くなり、太陽光で地表温度が上がることで二酸化炭素が熱を吸収して温室のような環境を作ることにあるものです。

この仕組みはあまりピンとこないかもしれないですが、身近な例ではこんなことがあります。

例えば、夏エアコンをつけると、つけたところは涼しくなる反面、温かい風の排出されるところは当然温度が上がります。これが、住宅密集地だとどうなるでしょうか。そのエリアの気温が上昇しますね。

適度にエアコンを利用することは、熱中症を防いだり健やかに過ごしたりする上で大切なことです。

でも、必要でない場所、必要でない時にはエアコンをつける意味がないどころか、周囲に熱風を撒き散らしていることになっているかもしれません。

YAMATO BASEでは、エアコンに限らず、照明などについても、必要な時に必要な人が必要な場所だけ、スイッチを入れることにしています。

また、保温のための電力を消費する電気ポットは置いていないので、保温ポットに入れたお湯をご利用ください。

今までフリードリンクやお菓子などのサービスをしていましたが、ラインナップを見直しました。

奈良店にはオーガニックの緑茶、紅茶、ハーブティのみ置いています。

持続可能な農業を支援する立場で、エシカル消費を進めるのも私たちの方向性の一つだと思っています。

Until now, we’ve offered free drinks and snacks, but we’ve revised our lineup.

Our Nara site now only provide organic green tea, black tea, and herb tea.

As we support sustainable agriculture, we believe promoting ethical consumption is also part of our direction.

Our spaces both coworking and office have been created in collaboration with local Nara businesses.

Our members are also people who want to do something for Nara.

By valuing local circulation, we aim to contribute to regional revitalization.

そして、集まる会員さんも、奈良のために何かをしたい人たちです。

地域の循環を大切にすることで、地域活性化につながることを目指します。

資本主義社会に生きている私たちにとって、消費を否定はできません。また、する必要もありません。

ただ、その方法を少し考えてみることが必要なのが現在地だと思います。

奈良の文化を大事にする、奈良のローカル消費に貢献する。

シェアリングエコノミーの一端を担うYAMATO BASEだからできることがあります。

完璧な答えはまだありません。

でも、この場での一人ひとりの工夫や選択が、未来を形づくる力になるはずです。
